Made in the USA for journalists and news media interviewers, the K-Tek KIP is a graphite boompole that can be extended from 38.5" to 6' in length, making it ideal for achieving optimal mic positioning while staying safely out of the shot.
The KIP features two sections, a foam grip, and a quick release, twist-lock mechanism for fast, simple, and comfortable operation. The graphite (carbon fiber) construction delivers stable rigidity while keeping the pole lightweight at just over 10 ounces. With its 3/8"-16 threaded stud and the supplied 5/8"-27 adapter, the KIP can accommodate mic clips or shockmounts with ease.
